Blue Origin Launch Pad
ArchKey’s Electric, Technologies, and Civil teams, supported by Safety, VDC, QA/QC, Purchasing, and Accounting, collaborated to construct Launch Complex LC-36 and the Integration Facility at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station for Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket. New Glenn is a 320-foot-tall, reusable heavy-lift launch vehicle powered by seven BE-4 engines, capable of delivering over 45 metric tons to low Earth orbit. The rocket features a seven-meter payload fairing, offering twice the volume of standard five-meter class commercial launch systems, and is designed for a minimum of 25 flights to reduce waste and cost. LC-36, rebuilt from the ground up, serves as the launch site for New Glenn, supporting various missions including those for NASA and commercial partners.

Scope of Work
We provided full electrical, civil, and technologies support for the LC-36 launch facility rebuild. Our scope included medium and low voltage power, telecom distribution, grounding, site and building lighting, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, hazardous vapor detection, and lightning protection. Extensive underground infrastructure was installed around existing utilities using BIM and Trimble layout to ensure accuracy. Key structures included the Lightning Protection and Vehicle Access Towers—each over 600’ tall—where ArchKey completed all power, controls, fire alarm, telecom, grounding, and lighting systems. Additional work covered the ECS Building, Elevated Structure and Launch Pad, Fire Pump House, Water Tower, and Gas Farms. ArchKey also completed a separate contract for the Integration Facility, managing underground systems and high-elevation installations in both classified and office spaces.
