The BlueOval City Electric Vehicle Center project in Stanton, Tennessee marks the largest single investment in the state’s history, with an estimated cost of $5.6 billion. ArchKey Solutions was selected as the principal electrical contractor for the Battery Manufacturing building, which spans over 4.3 million square feet. Throughout the project, ArchKey’s civil teams faced demanding conditions, including unpredictable weather, tight construction deadlines, and the logistical complexities of working on a sprawling site. The team navigated persistent rainfall and muddy terrain, often requiring the use of innovative trenching techniques and adaptive scheduling to maintain project momentum without compromising safety or quality. By implementing coordinated work and leveraging advanced equipment, ArchKey overcame these hurdles and ensured continual progress. Scope of Work
The scope of work encompassed the design and installation of a high-security perimeter system to protect the facility’s confidential manufacturing operations. ArchKey’s teams constructed concrete foundations, handhole enclosures, and poles, while also installing more than 28,000 feet of underground ducting across 61 locations. Power and fiber optic cabling were delivered to each site to create a reliable and future-ready infrastructure. In addition, over 100 exterior cameras were installed and tied into a fully integrated perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) encircling the 4.3 million square foot facility. This combination of technical precision and advanced security measures provided the client with enhanced real-time monitoring, streamlined access control, and the confidence that critical manufacturing operations could continue without disruption.
